The aim of the group is to develop our knowledge and understanding of plants and the history of gardens and gardening. This is achieved by visits to gardens and gardening events in the area and through talks by visiting speakers

Each year we plan to have a community element in our programme, which is usually a talk in the Guildhall Art Centre, and which is open not only to all u3a members but also to the general public.

The group meets on the 4th Friday of the month at 2.00pm unless agreed otherwise.
