We meet every Thursday in Grantham at 1.30pm to 4.00 pm.

Grantham u3a guitar group has been running for at least 7 years. We have weekly band practice's at the "Christian Fellowship Hall", Belton Avenue. We can take up to 20 members in our group, and currently we have 17 members with up to 14, regularly practicing at the hall. We play a mix of electric guitar music covers, mainly from the 50's 60's and 70's.
Each of us brings along our own instruments and amplifiers.

Grantham u3a provided the group with a PA system which we use at practice sessions, or whenever we go out to play and perform at venues in and around Grantham area.
We frequently go out to perform and play at "Care Homes" and for other local, good causes. And are always happy to discuss with any service providers etc, playing/options for entertainment.

Unfortunately we are not a teaching guitar group, any new members need to have at least have basic guitar playing skills, before joining the group.

The u3a does have an Acoustic guitar group, which helps with supporting u3a members to learn to play guitar.
