A gentle local walk taking in the seasonal flora and fauna.

On 21st August our group visited Naturescape Wildflower Farm. As
it was late in the season many of the flowers had already been
harvested for their seeds. Two men were sowing scabious seeds with
a seed drill.
The evidence of autumn was in the berries and fruits we saw.
Blackberries, Rowan and Guilder rose berries and apples. We also
saw an elephant hawk moth caterpillar crossing the path. The 2
ponds were very overgrown with reeds and bulrushes.
Refreshments were taken in the café followed by a browse around
the shop and plant sales area.
